Les éditions du Cerf Songhaï

Description

-- Songhaï was a prosperous kingdom in Benin before the colonial period. Today it is an astonishing example of local development: training centres, farms, credit establishments, cooperatives, production and restoration lines, recycling... Songhaï began by giving confidence to Africans. Then it invited them to take their economic and social future in hand starting out from micro-creations among individuals, without breaking away from the cultural and natural environment, without following western models. The story of an amazing success and a concrete theory of development, this book gives an all-too-rare example of a global achievement in the third world. It will even convince Afro-pessimists.
